VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Psalm 95:1-3

O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

CONSECRATION SUNDAY

Today is Thanksgiving Sunday, as well as Consecration Sunday. Part of our giving thanks is committing ourselves to God’s work in the coming year. Today we each have the opportunity to consecrate our resources to God’s purposes. In our worship center, you will find Estimate of Giving cards at the end of each pew. If you call Downtown FUMC your church home, you are invited to fill out one of these cards. The front side provides the opportunity for you to share your financial commitment for 2024. On the back side of the card is blank space where you can write down ways you are interested in serving God through our church and our community. Children and youth are welcome to fill out a card as well. For those worshipping with us from home or a distance, you are welcome to email your commitments to Pastor Keith at keith@downtownfirstumc.com or Tonya  tonya@downtownfirstumc.com.

CANDY FOR CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

 FESTIVAL OF THE NATIVITY

We are excited to host our first Festival of the Nativity. We will have a beautiful display of nativities (that our church families are willing to share) set up in the chapel. The open house dates and times are Saturday, Dec. 2nd 9am-noon and Sunday, Dec. 3rd 11am-1pm with a presentation with Dr. Forbes at 1pm. If you would like to share a nativity or 2, please let us know. Also, if you have any questions, please call the church office 605-996-7721.
