VERSE FOR REFLECTION- PSALM 18:1-3
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so I shall be saved from my enemies.
Music – Nancy Nelson

CALL TO WORSHIP
L: Lent calls us to a journey with a cross at the end of the road.
P: Lent calls us toward the sign of a new covenant.
L: Lent calls us not only to give up something, but to take upon ourselves the mystery of God.
P: Lent calls us to confession, accountability, and preparation.
L: Lent calls us to face the darkness in the world and in our lives.
P: Lent calls us to look for the light and to allow it to shine through us.
All: Lord, lead us on this journey of faith. Lead us on this journey in Lent.

TIME OF PRAYER
Silent Reflection ~ Pastor’s Prayer ~ The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
