Silent Reflection ~ Pastor’s Prayer ~ The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the Church Season of Lent. Join us Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm in our Worship Center for an Ash Wednesday Service, including the imposition of ashes, for those who are comfortable receiving them.
PRAYER STATIONS
The youth are putting together Prayer Stations for Lent. They will be available to use all through Lent starting on Wednesday, March 1st. The stations are in the upstairs classroom nearest the back stairway on the north side. There will also be special prayer stations for younger children in the center of the room. To have the most meaningful experience, we ask that all children be accompanied by adults.
GATHERING AREA NEEDS
We are needing some donations of goldfish crackers and sugar packets for the Gathering Area. Please bring them to the church office. Thank you!
TECH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for someone in our church family who has some technical knowledge or background to be the head of our tech team. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the church office at 605-996-7721 or johanna@downtownfirstumc.com.

LENTEN SERMON SERIES
Join us for worship during the season of Lent beginning March 2, Ash Wednesday. Plus, there is always the community of faith to strengthen, support, and help guide us along the way.
LENTEN STUDIES
Pastor Keith and Conni McCormick will each be leading a Lenten study on Wednesdays at 7pm starting on March 2nd. Keith will be using the book “Spiritual Formation” by Henry Nouwen and will be holding his in room 103. Conni will be using Bruce Blumer’s book “Mighty Winds and Gentle Whispers” and will be holding hers in the prayer room on the back south side of the sanctuary. There are copies of both books available for purchase in the office. Please note that the March 2nd studies will be after the Ash Wednesday service at 7pm.
