VERSE FOR REFLECTION – Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

Each of us can be Unexpected Heroes in our community and in our church through our giving, our serving, our praying, our presence and our witness. Please be praying about how you will live out your faith through your commitment to our church in 2023.

All Saints Prayer  713 UMH

Almighty God,

you have knit together your elect

in one communion and fellowship,

in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord.

Grant us grace

so to follow your holy saints in all virtuous and godly living,

that we may come to those unspeakable joys,

which you have prepared for those who sincerely love you;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

TIME OF PRAYER

   Silent Reflection ~ Pastor’s Prayer ~ The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
