Silent Reflection ~ Pastor’s Prayer ~ The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

The Abbott House serves as one of the foremost providers of therapeutic residential treatment and foster care services in all of South Dakota, with locations in Mitchell and Rapid City. Please place them in the “One Thing” tote in the gathering area. Thank you!
LENT
Ash Wednesday is March 2nd. We are hoping to have several different small groups meet during this season. If you would be willing to lead a small group, please contact Pastor Keith at keith@downtownfirstumc.com or 996-7721.
SOUPER BOWL
The Youth are in charge of the service on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13. We invite you to worship with us and join us for soup and sandwiches after the service. We will be serving from 10:30 until around 12:15. If you can't stay, meals will be available for you to take with you right after the service. The money raised will help pay for the Mission Trip to Spirit Lake, North Dakota, July 10-15. We are also looking for volunteers to help prepare and clean up. Click here to sign up. Thank you.
2022 YOUTH MISSION TRIP
The 2022 mission trip is scheduled for July 10-15. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due by February 2 to secure a place on the bus. The trip will cost approximately $450 per person. The church will pay a portion through our camp scholarship fund and youth have an opportunity to earn money by participating in fundraisers such as the lunch on February 13 and Butter Braid sales. If you have any questions, please ask Cindy, Jessica, Tonya, or Heidi.
SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKES
Due to the ongoing situation with COVID and illness in general in our community, the decision has been made to NOT have our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed this year. This was a difficult decision to make but feel it is in the best interest for our church family and our community. Hopefully next year!!!
GIVE PLUS APP CHANGES
Starting January 31st, the Give Plus app for mobile giving will not be active and instead will be changed to VANCO mobile. You can download this application in the Apple or Google Play store. If you already use the Give Plus app, you can login to the VANCO mobile app with the same information. Any reoccurring gifts that were made on the Give plus app will automatically transfer over to the VANCO mobile app. If you have not set up an account, you can download the app and search for our church, Downtown Mitchell FUMC, and you will be prompted to set up an account. All you must do to give is push the red “Give” button and it will give you instructions on how to donate. The app also comes with some great scheduling and notifications programs, so we encourage you to download and make an account. Please contact the church office at 996-7721 with any questions.
