RADIO BROADCAST ENDING

Our church has had a strong partnership with KORN Radio for many years. They have helped us reach well beyond the Mitchell area with our message of hope, grace, and God’s love. Due to our need to hold down ministry costs and the rising costs of radio broadcasting, the leadership of our church has decided to stop our radio broadcast at the end of April. Our full worship service will still be available on Mitchell Telecom channel 110 and on our website-www.downtownfirstumc.com. If you have family members who listen to the radio broadcast, please help them transition to one of the other means available to participate in our weekly Sunday Worship. Thank you.

GREETING:

CALL TO WORSHIP:

L: Today, we join Jesus in the final ascent to Jerusalem, knowing the

depths we will descend on our journey through Holy Week.

P: Open the gates of righteousness, that we may come

     worship God!

L: We join the disciples in declaring that Jesus, riding on a donkey, is

our Ruler, the One who will bring peace and salvation to all.

P: Open the gates of peace, that we may come worship God!

L: We join with the bystanders who questioned and wondered who

this Jesus really is, who feared the consequences of angering the

     powers that be.

P: Open the gates of truth, that we may come worship God!

L: The journey through Holy Week brings us face-to-face with the

stark reality of sin and God’s faithfulness to save.

P: Open the gates of salvation, that we may come worship God

     whose steadfast love never fails!
