VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Psalm 63:1-3 (NRSV)

O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.

UMCOR SUNDAY

Next Sunday will be UMCOR Sunday or what used to be called “One Great Hour of Sharing.” This is the yearly offering that cares for the administrative costs of UMCOR, which is the United Methodist Committee on Relief. If you aren’t familiar with the mission of UMCOR it is basically the Red Cross of the UMC, caring for people and needs when and where disasters and tragedies occur all around the world. UMCOR is one of the great examples of the United Methodist connection at its best. Envelopes for the special offering will be available next Sunday.  Thank you for your generosity.

IMPACT JESUS!

Somewhere along the way, we have each felt the impact of something in our lives. Maybe it was a relationship, maybe it was the ground when you fell, maybe it was a truth or principle that changed your perspective. It could be many things…but we’ve all felt the power of impact in our lives. As a follower of Jesus, it is likely that you have felt the impact of Jesus’ love or presence in your life, maybe even through this church. These are stories that need to be told because we all want to be a part of a church that makes an impact. Pastor Keith began a sermon series that will help us all consider the impact of Jesus in our lives...and in our church. Join us each week for Impact Jesus!
