VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Psalm 1:1-3

Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; but their delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.

IN OUR PRAYERS

The family of Dave Doering with the loss of his brother Gary

Pearl Duba

 The family of Peggy Melmer

Jason Rice, Verna Hofer’s grandson

Laura Barta Lindquist

Pray for all of those that were touched by tragedy and disaster in

 recent weeks.

A MOMENT TO CELEBRATE & REMEMBER

Today following our time of worship, those who are interested are invited to come to the front of our worship space for a brief time to share together in celebrating Peggy Melmer’s life and faith, and to say goodbye to her. This is not a funeral service, just a moment for Peggy’s friends to gather, share a story or two, sing a verse of her favorite hymn, say our goodbye as a community and then be on our way. Peggy’s family will be hosting a celebration of Peggy’s life on March 8 from 1-4 at Peggy’s home here in Mitchell. All are invited to participate in this Celebration of Life.

SERVANTS & HELPERS NEEDED

The Dakotas Annual Conference (June 6-8, 2025) will be held here in Mitchell on the DWU campus. The closing worship service (Ordination & Celebration of Ministry) will be held in our Worship Center on Sunday morning, June 8. We will be needing volunteers on Friday and Saturday to greet and welcome conference attendees at the Sherman Center (DWU campus). On Sunday morning here at our church we will need volunteers to greet, welcome, provide hospitality, and help guide people to where they need to go. We are just starting to build our list of volunteers. So, if you are interested in serving at DWU or here at our facility during Annual Conference, please talk to Tonya or Pastor Keith. This is a great opportunity to show off our community and our church to the Dakotas Conference.

LENTEN STUDY

With Pastor Keith taking a class at DWU, it’s likely he’s not able to lead a Lenten study this year. Is there anyone who would be interested in leading a study? The Dakotas Conference is featuring a study of the book “The Third Day” by Rev. Tom Berlin. Our Conference Leadership (District Superintendents, will provide a weekly video of reflections, thoughts, and questions to enhance the study. If you’d be interested in leading a study using this, or some other material, please talk to Pastor Keith or Tonya. Thank you!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT YOUTH GROUP MEALS

Do you want to help with the YOUTH GROUP but don’t know how? One way to help is to provide supper for them. There are several Wednesday night dates open to provide a meal. Use the QR Code on the bulletin board or there is a sign-up sheet on the connection center desk.

LUKE & ACTS IN 2025

Bishop Lanette is encouraging United Methodist across the Dakotas-Minnesota Area to join in a journey through Luke and Acts, reading one chapter each week. This shared experience will foster a sense of encouragement, challenge, and community as we delve into the seamless story of Jesus’ life, ministry, death, resurrection, and the Spirit’s work through the early church. Comprised of 52 chapters together, they provide a natural framework for intentional spiritual practice throughout the year. This week’s reading is Luke chapter 7.
