INVITE ONE PERSON

The Communications Team launched a new campaign earlier this year to encourage growth with internal volunteerism, participation in FUMC committees, and attendance at in-person or virtual worship services. We encourage you to continue inviting your + one.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Are you interested in helping to grow a community of youth that seeks to build connections by loving God, others, and self, then we are looking for you. We are in search of some adult leadership to help with our Wednesday evening and possibly Sunday morning youth ministries. If you’d like more information or are interested, please talk to Becky Koch or Pastor Keith.

SUICIDE AWARNESS MONTH

There is a Lights for Love Memorial Walk planned for Tuesday, September 10th at 6pm at DWU/Avera Sports & Wellness Complex as well as a special service of hope and healing September 15th at 4pm here at Downtown First United Methodist Church. All are welcome!

SERVICE OF HOPE AND HEALING

FOLLOWING LOSS BY SUICIDE

As part of September being Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, our church will once again host a Service of Hope and Healing for those whose lives have been touched by the tragedy of suicide. The service will take place on Sunday, September 15th at 4pm in our Worship Center. Please share this information with family and friends who have experienced the death of a loved one by suicide. Our goal is to provide a service in which we allow people to remember those who died, and to provide hope and healing for those who live.
