NOISY BUCKETS
Noisy Bucket Sunday is today! Money collected in the noisy buckets will be donated to the Weekend Snack Pack Program.
SUNDAY SCHOOL AND YOUTH GROUP REGISTRATION
As much as we may not be ready, Fall is right around the corner! And that means, Sunday School and Youth Group are too! Each year we ask parents to register their child/children so that we have your current information on file. Registration is available online or stop by the office for a hard copy. If you have any questions, please let us know.
FUN AND FELLOWSHIP
Join us for fun and fellowship on Sunday, August 11th@ 2pm for The Church Basement Ladies production at the Mitchell Area Community Theatre. Reserved tickets can be purchased at the church office for $16/ea. Following the play we will be having a potluck in our church basement. All are welcome to potluck, even if you didn’t go to the play. Submit your favorite church memory in the basket in the Gathering Area for a chance to receive a free ticket. These memories may be shared on Sunday mornings.
RESERVING SPACE
If you need to use a space within our facility for a function or a gathering, even church related, it is important to call the church office and schedule your meeting with Tonya. This will ensure that the space that you are requesting will be available and it also helps us to make sure we don’t double book a space.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL- 2ND SUNDAYS
VBS Fun Days ALL Summer Long!!! No need to register, just show up! Bring a friend, +One! For all children preschool-5th grade, 9:45-11:15am. August 11th: “Destination Back-to-School! September 8th: “First Day of Sunday School and Kick-Off Celebration!”
LOVE FEAST SCHOOL SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION
Carol Hasz will be in the Gathering Area before and after service to gather sign-ups to assist with school supply organization, assembly and distribution on Friday August 2nd at 8:30am and 3:30pm and Saturday August 3rd at 8:00 am for distribution at 8:30am. Love Feast could use the following items: paper folders (no prongs), pencil boxes, small glue sticks, large scissors, and Elmers school glue.
WORSHIP IN THE PLAZA
Mark your calendars! We are once again having worship in the Corn Palace Plaza on Sunday, August 4th at 10am. There will be some chairs available, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. There is a parking lot to the South of the plaza and right behind the Scoreboard for easy access. If you have any questions, please call the church office. 605-996-7721
WALK TO REMEMBER
Honoring and remembering children gone too soon. Walk to Remember, Sunday, August 18th,1-4pm at Granite Springs 25840 422nd Ave, Alexandria, SD. Along the walking path will be memorial signs sharing the stories of the children being remembered. If you have any questions, contact LeAnn Moe at 605-770-8193.

MISSION OF THE MONTH
Mitchell Area Food Pantry
The Mitchell Area Food Pantry provides food items to households experiencing food insecurity. This program provides critical nutrition to hungry individuals and families.
JULY “ONE THING”
Our July “One Thing” is Knorr pasta or rice sides for Safe Place of Eastern South Dakota. Safe Place’s mission is to provide a safe and empowering environment for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, education, shelter, and family support services.

CHURCH COUNCIL TO MEET
As part of this month’s church council meeting, there will be conversation regarding the recent General Conference decision, as well as what was shared at Annual Conference, regarding human sexuality and next steps for our church. Anyone from our church family is invited to be a part of the conversation to share one’s thoughts. The Church Council will meet Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:30pm at the church.
