 VERSE FOR REFLECTION: Psalm 16:7,8,11

I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I keep the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

MISSION OF THE MONTH

 Heart & Sole

For over 25 years Heart & Sole has been raising money for cancer patients in and around the Mitchell area. Their annual walk will be held on Friday, June 14th at Hitchcock Park starting at 6:30pm.

MAY “ONE THING”

Our May “One Thing” is the Bishop’s Miracle Offering. Each year, churches and individuals in the Dakotas Annual Conference demonstrate their love for God and their neighbors through the Miracle Offering that is presented during worship at our Annual Conference Session. For more information see the “One Thing” display area located in the Gathering Area.

RADA KNIVES

Carol Hasz will have RADA knives on sale and are available to order May 12th. This is a fundraiser for United Women in Faith. Stop by in the chapel hallway to purchase a Mother’s Day or Graduation gift.

NOISY BUCKETS

Today is noisy bucket Sunday! We will continue to donate to the Weekend Snack Pack Program.

100 DAYS OF PRAYER

United Methodists from across the Dakotas & Minnesota Conferences are being asked to join in 100 days of prayer beginning April 1. The idea for 100 Days of Prayer emerged out of a desire to cover the following United Methodist events with prayer: The Dakotas Annual Conference (June 6-8 in Bismark, ND) and the North Central Jurisdiction Conference (July 10-13 in Sioux Falls, SD). The hope is that these prayers will act as an anchor for those United Methodists who are walking through Annual and Jurisdictional Conference season with mixed emotions.

DISCOVING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS

An important way to grow as a Christian is to understand how God has gifted you. The Bible tells us that we each have a Spiritual Gift or Gifts. A couple of weeks ago Pastor Keith invited our church family to pick up a Spiritual Gifts inventory, complete it, and return it to the church and we’ll score it and let you know what the inventory says about you and how you are gifted. If you haven’t filled one out yet, a copy of the inventory is available at the welcome desk in the Gathering Area. We also have a youth version of the Spiritual Gifts inventory, and we invite all our youth to complete one as well. Thank you for your interest and seeking to grow in Christ.
