 April is child abuse prevention month. Let us pray for those experiencing/living with the reality and effects of child abuse.

COMMUNION SET UP AND CLEAN UP

We are looking for volunteers that would be available to help with communion. It would consist of filling communion cups with juice and helping with clean up after service. Please let Tonya or Pastor Keith know if you are interested. Thank you!

APRIL “ONE THING”

We are collecting bags of assorted wrapped candy for the Mitchell High School After Prom Party. Please note that we will only be collecting until April 16th since prom is April 22nd. Thank you for your generosity!

MISSION OF THE MONTH

Abbott House

For over 80 years, Abbott House has devoted their work to providing transformative therapeutic support services for the betterment of youth across the state of South Dakota.

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING

The health ministry team blood pressure screening has been postponed to Sunday, April 23rd prior to our 10am service. They will be located by the front office.

2ND AND 3RD GRADE ~ THE LORD’S PRAYER

Today during worship service, we will witness the 2nd and 3rd grade classes complete the Faith Step of reciting “The Lord’s Prayer.”

NATIVE AMERICAN MINISTRIES SPECIAL SUNDAY

Sunday, April 23rd recognizes and supports the contributions of Native Americans to the church and to society. Part of the funds collected allow us to collaborate with existing native ministries, create programs and support seminary scholarships for United Methodist Native Americans. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALTAR FLOWERS

The altar flowers are given to Pastor Keith in honor of his birthday, which is today, Sunday April 16th. They are kindly given by Mary Wingfield and Pat and George Breidenbach.

FAMILY MINISTRY VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

Sunday, April 23rd, we will be recognizing all of our family ministry volunteers and helpers. We appreciate all of our volunteers for the countless hours that they give of themselves.

HOLY LAND JOURNEY - NEW DATE- NEW PLAN

Hank Kor is hosting a trip to the Holy Land via Jordan September 11th- 21st, 2023. We will fly to Amman, Jordan then cross over to Israel for all the Holy Land excursions, then will return to Ammon to visit Petra. The cost will be approximately $4100 without travel insurance. A new brochure will be available shortly. If you would like to know more sooner, you can send an email to hankkor46@gmail.com. New pamphlets are by the connection center desk and on the bulletin board.

COUNTY FAIR STAMPS

We are still collecting County Fair Stamps. Please place them in the drawer marked “County Fair” at the top of the lower-level stairs. 

COBORN’S RECEIPTS

We are collecting Coborn’s receipts for February, March, and April. Please place them in the “Coborn’s” drawer at the top of the lower- level stairs.

DEAR YOUNGER ME…

Pastor Keith is starting work on a summer sermon series that will be called “Dear Younger Me…”  You can be a part of this message series by sharing a brief phrase, statement or learning that has shaped your life today, that you wish you could have learned/known when you were younger. A table will be set up in the hallway to the chapel where you can write down the phrase or saying on a piece of tagboard.  We’d love to get some pictures of people with their saying.  You can also email or message Pastor Keith or Tonya with your saying or wisdom.
