THANK YOU
We, George and Pat Breidenbach, wish to express our thanks for the many uplifting get well cards and messages following George’s heart surgery, as well as the many beautiful congratulatory cards and notes upon our 60th anniversary. We will not forget the unexpected and anticipated events June of 2022 held for us, nor the love and concern of the congregation that upheld us through it all!
JULY “ONE THING”
For our July "One Thing", we will be collecting boxes of fruit snacks for the Safe Place of Eastern South Dakota. Safe Place ESD provides emergency shelter facilities, transitional housing, and advocacy services for adults and children who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and/or human trafficking. You may place the fruit snacks on the "One Thing" shelf in the gathering area. Thank you.
BILINGUAL SERVICE
On Sunday, July 31st, the Hispanic Church has invited our congregation to worship with them at a bilingual service at 12pm in the chapel. They have also invited us for lunch immediately following at one of the parks in town. We will have the park information later.
TOUR DE CORN
Pastor Keith is participating in the “Tour de Corn” bike event this year on August 20th! He will be completing the 62-mile ride to help our tuckpointing project that will be starting soon to improve the exterior of our church building. You can donate to this project by pledging an amount per mile or you can just make one overall donation. You can place your donations in the offering, just make sure they are marked “Tour de Corn” or send/bring them into the church office. Thank you!
RADIO & LIVESTREAM SPONSORS
We are looking for more radio and livestream broadcast sponsors for the rest of 2022. Radio sponsorships cost $140 and livestream sponsorships cost $50. This ministry is so important and helps us connect with those who are unable to worship in-person with us. If you are interested in sponsoring, please let the office know at 605-996-7721 or johanna@downtownfirstumc.com. Thank you!
