Silent Reflection ~ Pastor’s Prayer ~ The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

ONE THING-CAMP SCHOLARSHIP DONATIONS
For March’s “One Thing” we are collecting money to help send our children and youth to summer camp. There is a designated collection box in the gathering area where you can put your donations. You can also put it in the offering or give/mail it to the office. All we ask is that you please specify it is for March's "One Thing." We have also just added tents that you can tape to the forest backdrop when you donate. You can write your name and the donation amount on the tent if you would like or just hang a blank one up. For details on each camp and to register, click here.
EASTER LILLIES
We are selling Easter Lilies in memory or honor of someone for $15 each this year. If you are interested in purchasing, please contact Johanna at the church office: 605-996-7721 or johanna@downtownfirstumc.com. Please include who it is in memory/honor of and who it is given by.
BUTTER BRAID SALES
The youth are selling Butter Braids as a fundraiser now through March 30th and will be delivered on April 13th. To order, you can contact any of the youth or go to the online store by clicking here.
CAMP SUNDAY
Camp Sunday this year will be on March 27th. If you have a Downtown 4 Good or camp t-shirt or sweatshirt, we ask that you please wear them.
OAK GROVE LUTHERAN SCHOOL CONCERT
Save the date! On Wednesday, March 30th at 7pm the Oak Grove Lutheran High School Choir will be giving a concert in our worship center. It will include both secular and sacred music. Anyone is welcome to attend.
LUNCH & HAITI CONVERSATION
Bruce Blumer will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell at noon on March 21st to share updates on his recent visit to Haiti and have a conversation about the books he has authored. Come any time after 11:30 a.m. for lunch and stay for the conversation.
UMCOR SUNDAY
On UMCOR Sunday, March 27th, we partner with other UMC congregations in a special offering to support the United Methodist Committee on Relief, an organization that acts on our behalf when there is a crisis. When we give to specific Advance projects, 100% of our gifts are directed to the designated response. UMCOR can do this because the funds they receive on the 27th join with those of millions of other United Methodists to help cover the costs of doing business. From training volunteers to keeping the office lights on, the UMCOR Sunday special offering equips the organization to respond quickly when disaster strikes. There with be designated envelopes at both worship center entrances for you to place your offering in. Thank you!
UMCOR UKRAINE RELIEF
We are collecting donations for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) humanitarian response in Ukraine. You can put your donations in the offering or bring/mail it to the church office. Please specify that it is for the Ukraine relief. 100% of the proceeds go to help their work in Ukraine. Thank you!
CHURCH DIRECTORY
We are starting the process of putting together a new online church directory. We are still looking for some people with a camera to volunteer to take pictures. No professional experience needed. If you are interested, please contact Johanna at johanna@downtownfirstumc.com or 996-7721. The first round of pictures for the directory will be after church on Sunday, April 3rd from 10:45am-12:30pm in our tech room. Anyone is welcome to stop at that time, take your picture and update your information. Please note that because we are doing an online directory, all the work is being done in house. There will be no sales pitch or anything for you to purchase. We will also have printed copies available by request for free.
PRAYER STATIONS
The youth are putting together Prayer Stations for Lent and will be available to use all through the season. The stations are in the upstairs classroom nearest the back stairway on the north side. There will also be special prayer stations for younger children in the center of the room. To have the most meaningful experience, we ask that all children be accompanied by adults.
COUNTY FAIR STAMPS
We are still collecting County Fair stamps. Please place them in the drawer marked “County Fair” at the top of the lower-level stairs.
COBORN’S RECEIPTS
We are collecting Coborn’s receipts for February, March, and April. Please place them in the “Coborn’s” drawer at the top of the lower-level stairs.
